About the Artist

Kenya Danino is a multimedia visual development artist traveling between New York and Massachusetts. Currently, she resides on Boston College's campus as a junior pursuing a degree in Studio Art and minoring in African Diaspora Studies. Her primary goal as an artist is to bring quality works of art in studio and story form back to the younger generation. With an ever growing art world, especially in the animation industry, technology zooms in on presentation and tends to focus less on the narrative of stories being projected on the big screen. Danino, recognizing how glued and subservient to technology and teachings our young generation has become, utilizes digital and mixed media to create fun stories that captivate the audience while exploring deep concepts in life. In other words, she wants you to have a good laugh, but also take the time to contemplate what you’re laughing at! As of now, Danino participates in various freelance opportunities as well as college courses that allow her to do as such. Her current focus is in children’s book illustration.

Some of Kenya's more recent projects include concepts and scripting for BlueBells Animation in India, visual development for PennyFarthing Press Inc.'s "The Loch," music album cover designs for the artist Mark Marvel and Boston College's Gospel Choir VOIces of Imani, and promotion work for “The Misfit Sock” story franchise; which aside from telling a cute Christmas story; raises awareness of and supports all misfits including artists, children without education or homes and people who are abused/bullied.
